This is a training practice where qualified and often very experienced hospital doctors, who wish to pursue a career in general practice, are trained. Each doctor usually works with us for one year. Occasionally medical students join the practice for a short period as part of their training – if you do not wish them to sit in on consultations, please let the doctor know.
The Practice Manager organises the day to day running of the practice. If you have any questions about administration or non-medical aspects of your care the Practice Manager will be able to help with your queries. We also employ a deputy Practice Manager who will assist with any queries in the Practice Managers absence.
We employ a full-time reception manager, deputy reception manager, two part-time medical secretaries, one full-time receptionist and five part-time receptionists.
We also employ a postal clerk/notes summariser.
All our staff attend ongoing in-house training as well as attending regular training up-dates.
We employ six dispensers, who alternate between our two surgeries. our dispensers manage all prescriptions for dispensing and non-dispensing patients.
All dispensers are qualified to NVQ in Pharmacy or NVQ in Dispensary standard.
